Job summary

Nursery World Jobs is seeking a capable, enthusiastic person to join a church-based preschool in Moreton. The successful candidate will share the ethos of the setting and support children to grow safely while working closely with families.

The role is 16 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, with six weeks of holiday and a pay rate of £13.48 per hour plus pension contributions. Applicants must hold an Early Years Level 3 qualification and be committed to safeguarding and Christian values.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Early Years Qualification, Level 3.
• Committed Christian who understands the church-based preschool ethos.
• Willingness to undertake training to develop skills.
• Ability to lift children and equipment; willingness to sing and read to children.

Responsibilities

• Take on the role of Key Person.
• Read to children and sing to children as part of daily activities.
• Assist with incidental tasks involved in caring for preschool children.

Job description

We are looking to add a capable, enthusiastic person to our team. They will share the ethos of our setting which is part of Moreton Baptist Church and be in full agreement with our aim to :

help children to grow safely, work closely with families & share the love of Jesus

Hours 16 per week (with the potential for more)

Weeks 38 weeks per year

Holiday 6 weeks

Pay £13.48 per hour plus pension contribution

Essential

A full and relevant Early Years Qualification, Level 3

This person will be a committed Christian who understands the special nature of our church-based Preschool and sharing the love of Jesus.

This person will be able to take on the role of Key Person and willing to undertake training to develop their skills

They will be physically able to lift children and equipment, willing to sing and read to children and have a willing attitude towards the many "incidental" jobs that are involved in working with pre-school children.
