Prepress Production Artworker / Beccles / Full-Time Permanent / Salary 26,000 - 30,000 per annum.

Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Prepress Production Artworker to join our client, a reputable manufacturing company. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in preparing artwork for print, with at least two years of experience within the print or packaging industry.

This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Thursday 08.00hrs to 17.00hrs, Friday 08.00 to 16.00hrs.

Prepress Production Artworker will join a collaborative artwork team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, print-ready artwork that meets client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using Adobe CC packages to develop supplied concepts into print-ready artwork for internal and client sign off.
  • Liaising with production, sales teams, and designers to ensure the clients' brief is met.
  • Maintaining quality, accuracy and consistency of originated artwork, whilst working to tight deadlines.
  • Originating artwork following product specifications for client sign-off and preparing files for print production while working within our standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Preparing press-ready files and requesting ink matches from external suppliers, to produce colour accurate printed samples for client approval.
  • Producing production packs for our print departments, including approved inks, printing plates and films, in accordance with our standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Overseeing the lifecycle of projects from the original customer file to final approval of production packs.

A successful Prepress Production Artworker will have strong Mac skills with excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, proven experience in a design and printing environment, and preferably an understanding of silk screen, Tampo, and flexo printing processes; they should be highly detail-oriented with a methodical approach to artwork preparation, proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, able to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks, demonstrate a dedicated work ethic and professional demeanor, communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, and work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
