Location: Gosport

Pay Rate:

• £16.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)
• £18.00 per hour (Weekends)

Start Date: 28/10/2026

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts across a 7-day operation

• 05:00 - 13:00
• 13:00 - 21:00

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Prep Chef to support a military operation based in Gosport. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef with strong food preparation experience who is comfortable working in a busy, professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food items to required specifications.
• Support the kitchen team with daily food preparation tasks.
• Ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently and to high standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Prep Chef or within a professional kitchen environment.
• Confident carrying out food preparation in a busy catering setting.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen best practices.
• Must hold a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working shifts across a 7-day operation.
• Due to the location and shift start times, candidates should have their own transport or live within easy commuting distance of Gosport.
• Free parking is available on site.
