Job summary

Zental in London is seeking an accomplished Practice Manager to lead a high performing, private dental practice. You will balance patient experience, team wellbeing and commercial outcomes while upholding the highest standards of care.

You will oversee KPI tracking, diary management, budgeting and regulatory compliance, while developing the multidisciplinary team and supporting growth through marketing and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of KPIs, performance management, and commercial targets.
• Strong understanding of practice level financials, including revenue drivers, cost control, and budget oversight.
• Confident, credible leadership with ability to motivate, challenge and develop others.
• Experience handling people matters including performance improvement, absence management, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Thrive in a role built to support a calm, high-performing practice, balancing patient experience, team well‑being and commercial outcomes.
• Lead day‑to‑day practice performance across people, patients & performance
• Lead and develop the multidisciplinary team, setting clear expectations and ownership
• Track and manage core KPIs, including utilisation, conversion, revenue and patient experience
• Partner with Treatment Coordinators and clinicians to optimise the patient journey
• Oversee diary management to balance productivity with a calm, high-quality experience
• Maintain regulatory compliance and ongoing CQC readiness
• Manage costs, stock and budgets in line with business targets
• Own operational processes, spotting risks early and driving improvements
• Resolve patient feedback and complaints with care, professionalism and pace
• Support local growth through marketing activity and community engagement
