Job summary

G4S Facilities Management is recruiting a School Premises Officer for Crown Hills Community College in Leicester. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with various shifts between Monday and Sunday.

Salary is £13.01 per hour, and commutable distance to the site is essential due to transport timings. You will maintain a clean, safe and secure environment, perform routine and reactive maintenance, and liaise with contractors while supporting health and safety.

Qualifications

  • Reliability, enthusiasm and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to maintain high standards across the school.
  • Previous caretaker/porter and maintenance experience is not essential but would be an advantage.

  • Carry out audits of facilities.
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance of facilities.
  • Support Health & Safety policy and report hazards to the Site Manager.
  • Carry out litter picking and assist cleaning teams as required.

SCHOOL PREMISES OFFICER

Salary: £13.01 per hour

Working Hours: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours a week, 5 days out of 7 between Monday and Sunday, Various shifts

Location: Crown Hills Community College, Leicester, LE5 5FT

G4S Facilities Management are recruiting a Premises Officer on a full-time, permanent basis based in Leicester.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to ensure site maintenance services are to a high standard across the school.

Due to the working hours of this role, it is essential that you live within a commutable distance to the site using your own transport. Public Transport is not available in the area at the times required for the role.

Responsibilities
  • Locking/unlocking of the site/building gates and doors and ensure the safe custody of keys, fobs and access cards.
  • Carry out audits of facilities.
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance of facilities.
  • Participate in the Health & Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers or hazards encountered to the Site Manager.
  • Carry out Litter picking and assisting cleaning teams as required.
  • Escorting of sub-contractors as required.

Previous caretaker/porter and maintenance experience is not essential but would be an advantage.
