Premises Manager/Site Caretaker

Salary G6 23 £34,248 to G7 27 £36,984 depending on experience

36 hours per week, all year round

Shaftesbury High School supports 175 pupils aged 11 to 19 all with a wide range of complex special educational needs.

The school is looking to appoint an experienced Premises Manager/Site Caretaker to begin in June/July 2025.

The school’s Governors wish to appoint a conscientious and hardworking Premises Manager/Site Caretaker who will keep the school safe, clean and in good repair. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our School’s Health & Safety Team, to assist with general varied duties throughout the site, to liaise with external agencies and contractors, and to lead on the school as a positive environment.


About you

The successful candidate must be able to complete minor DIY repairs and have general maintenance skills and knowledge. The candidate must be well organised and able to use his/her own initiative, and provide advice and guidance for the Headteacher as required, on building development and maintenance.
