Premises Manager– Merton – Immediate Start (3-Month Contract)
Pertemps Education is currently seeking a proactive and experiencedPremises Managerto join a well-regardedspecial needs school in Merton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong site management experience to support the smooth running of school operations. The role is available for animmediate startand will be offered on aninitial 3-month basis, with the potential for extension.

Location:Merton
Start Date:Immediate
Contract:Initial 3-Month Contract
Salary:Competitive, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the school premises, ensuring asafe, clean, and well-maintained environmentfor pupils, staff, and visitors

• Carry out regular health & safety checks, risk assessments, and fire safety procedures

• Manage site security, opening and closing procedures, and supervision of contractors and external services

• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs, or coordinate with contractors for larger works

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for aspecialist education setting

• Liaise with senior leadership to prioritise tasks and report on site-related matters
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience within a school setting

• Strong knowledge ofhealth & safety legislation, site maintenance, and facilities management

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across a varied workload

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach

• EnhancedDBS on the update serviceor willingness to obtain one

• Understanding of the needs and sensitivities in working within aspecial needs education environmentis an advantage
