Job description

To achieve the sales targets as outlined by the Head of Sales, with a primary focus on maximising profitability and occupancy of the Premier Suite and ensuring the highest standards of the client journey are achieved. Additionally, the role will provide support to the wider team in managing all other enquiries to ensure a cohesive and effective sales operation.

Main areas of responsibility

  • Handle all incoming enquiries in accordance with company standards, primarily for the Premier Suite, but also general enquiries as required based on business needs and managerial requests.
  • Maximise sales opportunities, with particular attention to Premier Suite enquiries.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the Premier Suite, contributing to weekly strategy meetings.
  • Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Conduct professional show rounds to maximize client engagement.
  • Proactively follow up on lost and cancelled business.
  • Convert tentative bookings/enquiries into contracts, ensuring minimal fall-out.
  • Make post-event calls to clients.
  • Maintain full knowledge of Venue products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Hotel Reservations team to manage conference and banqueting room bookings and rates.
  • Address customer comments and complaints promptly and professionally, demonstrating genuine care under the guidance of your line manager.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and managers to ensure effective teamwork and high morale.
  • Maximize sales conversion opportunities on designated days.
  • Monitor and track all enquiries and conversions daily.

General Responsibilities

  • Ensure safeguarding and safety of children and young people involved in Bolton Wanderers activities, fulfilling safeguarding responsibilities towards colleagues, fans, and vulnerable individuals.
  • Represent the Group professionally, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Head of Sales/Deputy Head of Hospitality.
  • Treat all colleagues as customers, ensuring respectful and positive communication.
  • Adhere to all BWFC policies, procedures, and guidelines, especially regarding Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Diversity.
  • This position is subject to a DBS disclosure.
