Job summary

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Tobacco Dependency Champion Midwife to implement a referral pathway for pregnant smokers into the in-reach Tobacco Dependency service. The role works with the Saving Babies Lives Lead Midwife and Maternity Governance teams to strengthen integrated care and quality improvement across Derbyshire and surrounding areas.

The post requires a Registered Midwife with NMC, a teaching/mentorship qualification, CPD evidence and NCSCT training

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with NMC.
• Teaching/Mentorship qualification.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• NCSCT online training module relevant to smoking in pregnancy.

Responsibilities

• Implement a robust out referral pathway for pregnant smokers into the Tobacco Dependency service.
• Collaborate with the Saving Babies Lives Lead Midwife and Integrated Care Board teams to coordinate the service.
• Contribute to maternity governance and quality improvement to ensure high standards of care.
