About the role

The SZC Prefabrication Deputy Package Manager will be responsible for the prefabrication of offshore prefabricated concrete structures (named Ramps) for the Sizewell C project, Marine and Tunnel portion. These structures, each weighing over 1,000 tonnes, will be prefabricated before shipment to the site. The role involves overseeing pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring quality, seamless execution, and project delivery. Responsibilities include:

• Design, procurement, supply, construction, and removal of prefabrication facilities.
• Managing offshore structures at Avonmouth hub, overseeing self-delivery and subcontractors.

What you'll be doing

The Deputy Package Manager will:

• Lead and manage the package, aligning with project goals and timelines, in coordination with the Fabrication Project Manager.
• Collaborate with teams and subcontractors for efficient project execution.
• Coordinate interfaces with related activities and communicate with preconstruction and project teams.
• Organize and lead progress meetings to monitor quality, safety, and progress, updating relevant managers.
• Review tenders and subcontracts with the commercial team.
• Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials.

Who we're looking for

Knowledge & Skills (Essential):

• Proven experience in leading heavy civil works, logistics, and management of self-delivery and subcontractors.
• Preferably experience in prefabrication for nuclear or large infrastructure projects in the UK, with high safety and quality standards.
• Experience with lean management and marine/offshore civil works.

Qualifications & Experience (Essential):

• Stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong management skills including project, financial, and change management.
• Cost, risk, schedule, and change control experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Certifications: SMSTS, CITB HS&E test (Managers & Professionals).
• Desirable: TWCTS qualification.
