Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a Soldering Technician for a permanent role in Witney, UK. You will perform fine-detail hand soldering of surface mount components and support production within a close-knit team, including occasional use of a pick-and-place machine. Basic electrical testing may be required.

The role offers a 37.5-hour week, a salary of £29,500 and on-site parking. Training will be provided on site as you contribute to precision lighting solutions for aerospace, maritime and contract

Qualifications

• Experience working in production teams within a manufacturing environment (highly desirable).
• Demonstrable fine detail hand soldering experience on surface mount (required).
• Pick-and-place machine experience (required).
• Soldering skills aligned to IPC-610 (preferred).
• Care and precision with a strong eye for detail.
• Clear communication skills and a team-first approach.
• The confidence to meet targets and work consistently to timescales.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fine detail hand soldering for surface mount components
• Support production output as part of a close-knit manufacturing team
• Use and operate a pick-and-place machine (preferred)
• Assist with assembly tasks as required
• Carry out basic electrical testing (where needed/available within the role)
• Work to production schedules and maintain quality throughout your shift
