Job summary

Sciantec, part of Cawood Scientific Agriculture Division, is seeking a Lab Technician to join our UK facility. You will sort, prepare and inspect samples, follow SOPs and assist with on-site training, while keeping safety and quality at the forefront.

Maintain PPE and equipment, report discrepancies promptly, and work as part of a team to deliver accurate results for feeds, ingredients, raw materials and forages in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain safety and quality standards in laboratory work.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support onboarding of new staff.

Responsibilities

• Sort and separate samples ensuring they correspond with the relevant paperwork.
• Prepare all samples accurately and in a timely manner.
• Receive and inspect samples that are delivered to site.
• Communicate discrepancies/queries and address emails promptly.
• Follow SOPs and maintain PPE and equipment cleanliness.
• Work in a fast-paced lab while maintaining high quality standards.
• Assist with on-site training of new employees to ensure friendly onboarding.
