Job summary
A leading engineering firm based in Barrow Gurney is seeking a Quality Inspector to play a key role in ensuring the precision and quality of assemblies. The position involves inspections using advanced metrology tools and traditional measurement techniques. Ideal candidates will have practical experience in inspection within precision engineering and hands-on experience with dimensional inspection tools. Qualifications
- Practical experience in inspection or quality control within precision engineering.
- Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection tools, including laser trackers or 3D scanning systems.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
Responsibilities
- Carry out inspection of components and assemblies, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications.
- Use precision measurement tools including laser trackers and conventional hand tools.
- Record and analyze measurement data, preparing accurate inspection reports.
Skills
Practical experience in inspection or quality control within precision engineering
Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection tools
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
Competent in producing clear and accurate inspection documentation
Strong communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to adapt to new tools and processes
