Job summary

Vivo Talent Solutions is seeking a Quality Support Technician in Gloucestershire to join the Quality team. You will perform first-off, patrol, and final inspections of precision components to ensure compliance with customer specs and AS9100 standards.

The role requires reading engineering drawings (GD&T), operating CMMs, and supporting FAIRs and non-conformance resolutions. An apprentice City & Guilds qualification or equivalent is preferred, with experience in regulated sectors advantageous.

Qualifications

Experience in production inspection within precision engineering.
Ability to read engineering drawings including GD&T.
Proficient with handheld measuring equipment and CMMs.
Knowledge of non-conformance processes and root cause analysis.
Experience in aerospace, nuclear, defence or regulated sectors is advantageous.
Apprentice qualification (City & Guilds) or equivalent engineering credential.
Familiar with FAIR software and CMM programming.

Responsibilities

Carry out first-off, patrol, and final inspections of machined components.
Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and support inspection test plans.
Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
Review production documentation and verify conformance to drawings and requirements.
Raise, investigate, and resolve non-conformances and corrective actions.
Collaborate with production to identify and resolve quality issues.
Provide calibration support and contribute to continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and internal procedures.
