Job summary

Nemco in Stevenage is seeking an experienced Skilled Assembler to join our Conventional Department. You will carry out complex PCB assembly, precision soldering, desoldering, and circuit modifications from build packs and drawings to IPC-A-610 Class 2 and 3 quality standards.

The role demands high manual dexterity, strict attention to detail, and the ability to work to production deadlines in a collaborative shop-floor environment with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in PCB assembly and advanced PCB rework.
• Deep understanding of component identification codes and static control procedures.
• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to meet production deadlines.
• Certified to IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711 / 7721 rework standards.

Responsibilities

• High-Precision Soldering: Through-hole and SMT soldering to IPC-A-610 Class 2 and 3.
• Rework & Circuit Repair: Pad & track repairs, desoldering, component replacement, wire mods.
• Assembly & Preparation: Build packs and drawings, lead pre-forming and insertion.
• Tooling & Equipment Operation: Use press-fit tooling, cropping, forming machinery, labelling.
• Quality & Environmental: ES D controls and accurate production documentation, environmental adherence.
