Job summary

Mane Contract Services in Stockport is seeking skilled PCB assemblers to join its established electronics manufacturing team. You will carry out PCB assembly to a high standard, including both through-hole and surface-mount soldering, and work with various connectors and small components.

The role requires reading and interpreting engineering drawings, adherence to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, and a meticulous approach to ensure high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in PCB assembly.
• Strong soldering skills; familiarity with IPC standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• High attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PCB assembly to a high standard.
• Perform conventional through-hole and surface-mount soldering.
• Solder a variety of connectors, including D-type connectors.
• Complete soldering work in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Carry out track and circuit board repairs.
• Remove and replace damaged electronic components (resistors, diodes, capacitors).
• Work with very small electronic components.
• Maintain high workmanship quality and accuracy.

• Carry out PCB assembly to a high standard.

• Complete soldering work in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Carry out track and circuit board repairs.

• Work accurately with very small electronic components.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, quality and attention to detail.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience and competence in PCB assembly.
• Strong soldering skills, ideally with knowledge of or experience working to IPC standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work accurately and consistently in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
