Job summary

Qioptiq, part of Teledyne Technologies, is seeking an experienced workshop/operator to produce lens components within defined tolerances and planned times. You will work under supervision, selecting tooling and following procedures to achieve precision parts in a busy environment.

Role requires familiarity with DMG/CNC machining, attention to health and safety, and a willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives. On-site position in the UK manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Experience of DMG/CNC Machining – setting and running (further training will be given).
• Understanding of health and safety in the workshop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure component quality and dimensions for subsequent processing.
• Select, inspect and prepare tooling for precise production.
• Keep the workspace clean and maintain equipment per schedule.
• Set up machinery for efficient production of precision components.
• Follow 6S standards and participate in lean initiatives.
• Report issues to help reduce scrap.
