Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an Assembly Operator in Ilminster, Somerset to join a specialist manufacturing team. You will set up and run machinery to precisely produce optical components and sub-assemblies.

You will assemble periscopes and opto-mechanical sights for armoured vehicles, ensuring high quality, adherence to procedures, and strict safety practices throughout the production process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production or assembly.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production equipment and follow SOPs.
• Assemble periscopes and optical components as specified.
• Inspect optics and metalwork against specs and perform AQL checks.
• Pack finished products and prepare for despatch.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and report issues to supervisor.
