Job summary

Interaction Engineering in Northampton is seeking an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join their structural steel team, delivering precision welds for commercial and industrial projects.

You will read and interpret technical drawings, measure, cut, assemble and operate grinders, saws and drills, while maintaining safety and quality at all times. This long‑term role offers overtime opportunities and a supportive team environment with room for development.

Qualifications

• Experience in MIG welding of structural steel.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiar with fabrication machinery and tools.
• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welds on structural steel components.
• Interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut, assemble and prepare steel using fabrication equipment.
• Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate effectively to meet project deadlines.
