Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Clevedon is recruiting Mechanical Assembly Operatives to join our production team. You will assemble frames, brackets and components and build sub-assemblies using hand tools and shop floor equipment.

This hands-on role requires following engineering drawings and working to instruction sheets. Candidates with practical mechanical or engineering experience, good attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly, manufacturing or engineering experience
• Experience using hand tools and working with mechanical parts
• Ability to follow instructions and basic engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Mechanic, CNC Operator, Fabricator, Production Operative or similar would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of frames, brackets and components
• Building sub-assemblies using tools and equipment
• Installing pipework and mechanical components
• Fitting heaters and insulation to pipe runs
• Following basic engineering drawings and work instructions
• Supporting general production and assembly tasks
