Job summary

Elekta in Crawley is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to build and test precision components for life-changing cancer treatment technology in a regulated environment.

You'll assemble, test, machine with CNC equipment and support waveguide processes, with a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement. Hybrid work from Crawley HQ four days a week plus one day from home is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, engineering or production.
• CNC machining experience or background in precision fitting, toolmaking or machining.
• Relevant technical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds) or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and mechanical handling procedures.
• Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test products in line with engineering drawings and approved procedures.
• Perform CNC machining activities, including the use of lathes, mills and CMM equipment.
• Carry out waveguide manufacturing processes, including cleaning, brazing and leak testing.
• Support routine maintenance and calibration activities for manufacturing equipment.
• Identify quality issues, raise NCRs and support corrective actions when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling and test methods.
• Ensure products meet workmanship, quality and compliance standards throughout production.
• Follow all health, safety, ESD and operational procedures to protect people, products and equipment.
