Job summary

Proactive Global in Basildon is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to start immediately. You will operate manual mills and lathes, read engineering drawings and produce components for production in our engineering services group.

The role is Monday to Friday, 08:00am - 16:00pm, with a salary of £17.00ph - £20.00ph, negotiable depending on experience. Prior manual machining experience is essential; fabrication/welding skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual machining and reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Fabrication/welding experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operating manual machinery, mills, lathes etc. (not CNC).
• Reading engineering drawings.
• Production of components.
• Working to tight tolerances.
• Must have previous manual machining experience.
• Any fabrication/welding experience advantageous.
• Keeping a clean and tidy work area
