Job summary

EMBS Engineering, based in Leicester, is seeking a Manual Machinist for a permanent role. You will operate machines (including CNCs and manual) to produce precision components, reading engineering drawings and inspecting parts to meet strict quality standards.

The position offers a permanent contract with shift options (Nights or Double Days) and a salary of £15.50 - £17.50 per hour DOE with shift allowance. DBS checks are required and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with CNC and manual machines.
• Experience with precision engineering components (aerospace, automotive, defence).
• Confidence in performing self-inspection of parts using measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run machines to meet customer specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and ensure parts are manufactured in line with quality requirements.
• Use manual measuring equipment such as verniers, calipers, micrometres to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
