Stafforce Ports is recruiting for an experienced Machinist to join the Billingham production team on an ongoing basis. You will operate machining equipment, read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances to produce high-quality components for heavy engineering applications.

The role offers regular overtime, a shift rotation, and a company pension. You will use micrometers and gauges, perform inspections, and help maintain production efficiency while adhering to health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience operating machining equipment in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with heavy engineering environments desirable.
• Overhead crane certification is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Operate machining equipment to produce components to specification.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, and work instructions.
• Perform precision machining within tolerances and inspect with gauges.
• Use micrometers, verniers, and gauges to verify finished parts.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Meet production targets and follow safety procedures.
