Job summary

MNB Precision in Coventry is seeking an Estimator to produce accurate, competitive quotations for mission critical machined components and assemblies. This is a permanent role requiring a strong blend of technical and commercial acumen to reflect manufacturing capability and customer value.

You will review inquiries, drawings, and specifications to develop value-based pricing, assess manufacturing methods and costs, and liaise with customers to build long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience estimating within a precision machining/manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, materials and costs.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T and specifications.
• Experience applying value-based pricing principles to quotations.
• Commercial mindset with focus on profitability and customer value.
• Experience using ERP systems, ideally Factory Master or similar.
• Excellent communication to build strong customer relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries, drawings, specifications to prepare accurate quotations.
• Develop pricing using value-based pricing, balancing costs, value and market conditions.
• Assess manufacturing methods, times, materials, tooling and inspection needs.
• Interpret complex drawings, GD&T to ensure accurate costing.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to validate cost optimization.
• Engage with customers to clarify requirements and discuss quotation details.
• Maintain quotation records and data integrity in the ERP system.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and pricing models.
