Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced machine operator to work across manufacturing cells, performing changeovers, setting, and quality checks to meet product standards.

You will maintain department KPIs, assist with tool and equipment maintenance, and support technicians as needed. A lean, safety-focused mindset and ability to work flexibly across shifts are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in grinding/CNC/press/heat treatment environments is essential.
• Setting & fault-finding experience is essential.
• Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in a lean/continuous improvement environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust machines to meet production requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain department KPI's (5S, scrap reduction, inventory, safety, productivity) and report as required.
• Carry out asset care checks and record maintenance activities.
• Assist technicians and other duties to support production targets.
