Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, onsite, seeks an Inspector to read and interpret engineering drawings, support production targets, and maintain strict quality control. The role emphasizes final inspection, LOT traceability, and adherence to EHS standards.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ/City & Guilds in related fields, experience with precision measuring tools, and a background in aerospace or motorsport environments.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds or similar vocational qualification in fabrication, mechanical or engineering subject.
• Proven experience in Final Inspection.
• Experience inspecting Steel and Aluminium products and working to high tolerance.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools (verniers, calipers).
• Experience in aerospace, motorsport or similar industries is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines
• Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines
• Support ACE activities (5s, TPM, Turnbacks, Clinics)
• Maintain LOT traceability and quality control
• Continue ongoing internal and external training to welding certification requirements
• Ensure working environment is clean, organised and company standards
• Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety requirements
