Job summary

Pertemps is seeking a Final Assembly Technician in Crawley to build and test high-spec machinery for international shipment. You will assemble to exact tolerances, perform quality checks, and prepare units for field engineers overseas.

The role requires reading drawings, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a proactive attitude; training is provided. On-site work with standard day shift, overtime possible, parking available.

Qualifications

• A strong practical mechanical aptitude and comfort using everyday workshop tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings or follow detailed assembly instructions.
• High attention to detail—precision at this stage prevents delays for our engineers on site.
• A dependable, proactive work ethic and a willingness to learn (we provide full equipment training).

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical assemblies to technical drawings and exact tolerances.
• Conduct mechanical quality checks before sign-off.
• Dismantle and pack approved units to ensure efficient reassembly by field engineers on-site overseas.
• Work safely and efficiently using standard hand, bench, and power tools.
