Job summary

AWD online is seeking an Electronics Production Technician in Elstree, Hertfordshire. You will join a friendly production team to assemble, test and configure electronic wireless products used by customers worldwide.

You will work hands-on: building sub-assemblies, wiring, testing with equipment, following build instructions, and ensuring quality before release, collaborating closely with colleagues to meet output targets with pride in workmanship.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience assembling, wiring, testing or configuring electronic products.
• Fine manual dexterity with small parts, wires, PCBs and components.
• Careful, accurate approach to repeatable build processes and quality standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and verify work for faults.
• Reliable, cooperative team player with a good daily commute to Elstree.
• Basic IT skills, including desktop PC and Microsoft software.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Willingness for occasional overtime during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic products and sub-assemblies by hand.
• Carry out wiring and cable assembly, hand-soldering when needed.
• Follow build instructions from diagrams and drawings with accuracy.
• Use test equipment and computer-based test systems.
• Configure devices to correct frequency and specification.
• Inspect finished work and identify faults before release.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet output targets.
