Job summary
Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced EDM Machinist to join a precision engineering team in Gloucestershire. You will set and operate EDM and Wire Erosion machines to produce high-precision components to exacting standards, reading drawings and using CNC programs as required.
You will also carry out in-process inspection, monitor performance and support continuous improvement in a modern shop environment, with a competitive salary and benefits package including shift allowance and
Qualifications
- Experience setting and operating EDM, Wire Erosion or Spark Erosion machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of CNC machining and machine setup processes.
- Competent using inspection and measuring equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate EDM and Wire Erosion machines
- Work from engineering drawings, setup sheets and CNC programs
- Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment
- Monitor machine performance and maintain quality standards
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Ensure tooling, fixtures and equipment are maintained and available
- Contribute to a safe, efficient and quality-focused manufacturing environment
