Job summary

Optical Precision in High Wycombe is seeking an experienced EDM spark eroder to join our precision engineering team. You will machine metals into components for aerospace, medical and defence applications, reading drawings and maintaining safety and quality on the shop floor.

The role offers £18.00–£20.00 per hour, regular overtime, a pension scheme and 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. Normal days with early finish on Fridays and a friendly, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Experience on Sodick or Wire Erosion machines preferred; training provided.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Machining metals into precision components for aerospace, defence and medical applications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and compliant work environment.
• Provide feedback to team leaders on technical issues or risks.
• Help drive advanced manufacturing techniques.
