Actio Recruitment represents a well-established engineering firm in Southampton seeking a skilled CNC Miller to program, set and operate Heidenhain or Fanuc controlled milling machines. The role is permanent, with a day shift and an immediate start for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will read engineering drawings, work to tight tolerances, and demonstrate a proactive, quality-focused approach in full-cycle machining.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Heidenhain / Fanuc controls.
• Strong background in precision machining.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with tight-tolerance work and varied materials.

Responsibilities

• Programming at the machine using Heidenhain or Fanuc controls.
• Setting and operating multi axis machinery.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Conducting in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment.
• Maintaining quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement.
