Job summary

Holt Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter Operator to set and run CNC milling machines, producing components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings. You will verify first-off parts and maintain production documentation while supporting lean improvements.

The role requires an apprenticeship background and familiarity with Mazatrol controls, with a focus on quality, safety, and timely output within a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in machining.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing requirements.
• Set CNC milling machines using setup sheets; adjust as required.
• Prove out CNC programmes and inspect first-off parts.
• Manufacture components to drawing specifications and tolerances.
• Record set-up times and run times, and provide feedback to the team.
• Maintain tooling, gauging, and digital production documentation.
