Job summary

Optical Precision in Kent is seeking a skilled CMM Quality Inspector to ensure components meet dimensional and quality standards from incoming material to finished assemblies.

You will raise inspection sheets, conduct regular CNC patrol checks, and verify material certifications while maintaining calibration records. A strong attention to detail and familiarity with metrology are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous QC/inspection experience within precision engineering or CNC machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience with a range of precision measuring equipment and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Raise and complete QC inspection sheets for planned jobs.
• Carry out patrol inspections of CNC machines regularly.
• Inspect components against drawings, specifications and mating parts.
• Identify and report quality issues and work with production to resolve them.
• Maintain and verify inspection equipment and calibration records.
• Ensure material certification and traceability are documented.
