Job summary

The Butchers Recruiter is seeking a skilled Butcher (Day Shift) to prepare a wide range of meat to exact customer specifications for pubs, restaurants, hotels and caterers in the local Bristol area.

In a busy wholesale environment you’ll maintain quality, portion control and waste reduction while handling full carcass cutting and different meat types during daytime hours, 10:00am-7:00pm, delivering consistent results and high standards.

Qualifications

• Full carcass cutting experience.
• Wholesale meat production experience preferred.
• Strong portion control and product quality focus.
• Knowledge of food safety requirements in a licensed plant is advantageous.
• Ability to cut various meat types to different specifications.

Responsibilities

• Break down full carcasses and prepare different meat types to customer requirements.
• Cut and portion products accurately against individual specifications.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and quality control.
• Control portions to minimise waste.
• Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.
• Prepare products efficiently in a fast-paced wholesale environment.
