Job summary

Oliver Rae in Kingswinford is seeking a Saw Operator to join a busy manufacturing team. You will operate a band saw, measure materials to customer specifications, and manage your workload from start to finish. The role is full-time with Monday to Friday shifts and flexible start times (06:00 or 08:00).

Qualifications

• Band saw experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read measurements and work to tight tolerances.
• Familiar with using Vernier calipers.
• Overhead crane licence is advantageous.
• Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a band saw.
• Accurately measure materials using tapes and calipers.
• Cut materials to customer specifications and drawings.
• Feed the machine using an overhead crane and forklift.
• Band and label finished products for dispatch.
• Perform quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Support the wider warehouse and production team as needed.
