Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment in Ferndown is seeking an Assembly Technician to join a precision manufacturing team. You will perform dynamic balancing and testing of air bearing shafts and spindles, and make small, exact adjustments using hand tools, guided by drawings and SOPs.

This 4-day week role runs 5:30am–3:30pm with overtime on Fridays paid at 1.5x after 38 hours. The team values accuracy, quality, and a collaborative approach, with full training provided and a positive work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly/manufacturing environments is desirable; full training is provided.
• Demonstrated high dexterity and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to read drawings and follow SOPs accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate dynamic balancing and testing of air bearing shafts and spindles to meet specifications.
• Make small, precise adjustments using hand tools as required.
• Work from SOPs, drawings and process control documents in line with production schedules.
• Raise tooling, materials, or process issues to the Team Leader promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and new manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and ensure all work complies with health and safety requirements.
