Summary:
Appoint Healthcare partners with a leading provider supporting adults with mental health, learning disabilities, and brain injuries rehabilitation needs. We are looking for a newly qualified preceptorship nurse, either Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD or RMN), to join their Specialist Learning Disabilities Hospital near Cardiff. Service users are cared for in single-gender units based on their needs.
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse within the 29-bed service, you will collaborate with a full MDT to deliver positive outcomes for patients and their families. Patients typically have learning disabilities, forensic histories, and may present complex needs and behaviors that challenge. The hospital is easily accessible from Cardiff city centre and operates within a bespoke learning disability/ASC-friendly environment, with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team addressing mental and physical health needs.
Preceptorship nurses: The service offers an excellent preceptorship program for newly qualified nurses, supported by experienced staff mentors.
