The Pre-admission Management Service (PreAMS) is the primary portal for surgical admissions at UHNM, aiming to optimize services within the surgical directorate. It supports the delivery of the 18-week RTT and 2WW cancer targets, reduces clinical risks by minimizing post-operative morbidity and mortality through comprehensive pre-operative assessments, and enhances theatre utilization by reducing cancellations and supporting reduced hospital stays.
This permanent role offers an opportunity to work in the innovative pre-operative assessment field. The position is funded as part of UHNM's Elective Recovery Program, focusing on digitalizing patient pathways and improving organizational efficiency.
We seek an experienced registered nurse or theatre practitioner with specialist assessment skills and high clinical standards to join our nurse-led team. The role involves autonomous patient care and requires an advanced level of practice and knowledge in pre-operative patient management.
