Home Pre-Selector of Animal Nature Future Film Festival 2025

The Animal Nature Future Film Festival (ANFFF) is dedicated to giving a voice to animals and nature around the world. To make the competition film selection more objective and diverse, the festival is seeking pre-selectors from different cultural backgrounds to take part in the selection process. Through this shared journey, we hope to bring new possibilities to the world of animal and nature films.

Ideal candidates will have good teamwork skills, a genuine love for cinema, and a strong interest and experience in watching animal and nature-themed films. No matter where you are from, we welcome you to be part of our community.

  • Part-time, 30 hours between June and August
  • Attend preliminary review meetings and online film selection discussions
  • Review assigned films and provide evaluations
  • Assist in drafting the curatorial handbook
Person specifications
  • Have a passion for cinema and a strong interest in the film industry.
  • Are familiar with animal and nature-themed films and have a solid amount of viewing experience.
  • Are committed and able to dedicate enough time to film viewing during June and July, ensuring the quality of your preliminary review work.
  • Are responsible and willing to treat each film with care, completing scoring and review tasks thoughtfully.
Volunteers will gain
  • The opportunity to connect with animal and film enthusiasts from around the world in a friendly and supportive environment.
  • Hands-on experience in the preliminary review process of an international bilingual film festival, with a certificate of recognition issued by an international NGO upon completion.
  • A reward of 100 USD for pre-selectors who complete all tasks, along with complementary tickets to ANFFF 2025 screenings and events in Shanghai, China or London, United Kingdom
