Job Title - Pre-School Teacher
Location - Hove
Hours - Full Time (Monday to Thursday 8:30 until 5:30)
Contract Type - Long Term Temporary
Start Date - ASAP until end of Summer term with possibility to extend/become permanent
Qualifications - Early Years Teacher Status / Level 3 Qualification in Early Years

The staff are a close, supportive team passionate about children's development, encouraging self-development within the team. The environment is designed to inspire independence and curiosity, following a child-centred curriculum that promotes holistic development, individual interests, and independent thinking.

Your new role

We are seeking a qualified early years teacher to join our team in Hove, working in the pre-school room. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting and promoting children's early education and development
  2. Planning and providing effective care
  3. Teaching and learning to facilitate children's progress and school readiness
  4. Utilizing assessment effectively
  5. Developing informed and effective practices
  6. Safeguarding and promoting children's health, safety, and welfare
  7. Collaborating with key persons, colleagues, parents, carers, and other professionals

What you'll need to succeed

  • Early Years Teacher Status or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a nursery setting
  • Experience in planning curriculum and activities for pre-school children
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for working with children and delivering high-quality care and education
  • All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check
