About the role:

Dust off your magic wand and join us as a Room Manager, where the learning never stops! We’ll give you the opportunities to learn and develop the skills you need to build your career in our Little Pioneers nurseries.

We’re looking for qualified Room Managers to help us deliver our vision of being the leading Childcare provider.

There’s no better place than our Oxford Station nursery, and even OFSTED think so with our GOOD rating! We’ve relocated to a trendy new cabin beside the train station, so, if the train is your way of getting into work, you’ll be at the nursery in no time. We’ve also got great links to bus routes and offer free car parking.

Jordanne, our wonderful Nursery Manager, has led the team for four years with Zoe, and they shared “We are like one big family here, the colleagues work exceptionally well together, respect one another and provide some amazing home from home experiences for the children that we care for”. On a recent survey, over 96% of our practitioners shared that Jordanne cares about their wellbeing. Read our review on Day Nurseries and discover more about our nursery here:

Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or flexible hours, we have positions to suit your work-life balance, because sometimes our super-powers need a rest too!

What will the role involve?

  • Leadership - Lead, support, and inspire your team, setting an example for your colleagues.
  • Planning and Assessment - Take ownership of planning, observations, and assessments in alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Collaboration - Work closely with Quality Training Advisors to achieve outstanding results and outcomes for children.
  • Teaching Excellence - Play a key role in supporting the education and development of your key children through high-quality teaching and learning.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a wizard, a fairy godparent, a magical mentor who will shower their magic powers to achieve all-round outstanding results and outcomes for our children:

  • Full and relevant level 3 qualification (Essential)
  • An Enhanced DBS check (we’ll cover the costs)
  • Open, honest and compassionate
  • Inspiring and passionate about early years and working with children

What can we offer you?

Our roles come with a fantastic set of benefits which really make a difference for you:
  • Career Growth – Progression opportunities within the nursery as well as opportunities society wide. Little Pioneers’ unique values mean anyone can develop into various roles including a nursery manager or further – all you need are dreams and aspirations.
  • Colleague Recognition – We think it’s important to recognise our colleagues every day. Our favourite day of the year is National Practitioner Day, celebrating our wonderful Little Pioneers colleagues.
  • Learning and Development – We give you the support you need to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours through one-to-one supervisions, personal development plans, and access to learning resources and activities, as well as joining one of our award-winning LEAP Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Discounts and perks – Receive up to 20% off your food shopping, £500 off holidays, and a phenomenal 60% off your childcare fees, which could add up to a £7000 saving a year! We also offer an OUTSTANDING bonus if our nursery achieves this result from OFSTED.
  • Wellbeing – We are committed to supporting your wellbeing and have a variety of wellness resources and tools available to you such as our financial and mental wellbeing apps.
  • Doing Good Together - Not only this, but we also give you up to 3 days to volunteer within working hours! Your Co-op Little Pioneers is run with a different ethos to other nurseries. Our child-centric approach puts a premium on fun, which ultimately is intended to nurture a kinder and more considerate generation. Your core skills in the education and development of your key children will help us on our mission to ensure our colleagues, families, and children all rate us as outstanding.
