Job summary

Abbey Pre-school in Yeovil is seeking a proactive Pre-school Manager to ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the setting and uphold the highest standards of care and education.

We operate as a committee-run setting, offering a collaborative bridge between the educational floor and the Management Committee to shape the future of the pre-school.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire our staff team, fostering a supportive work culture.
• Curriculum & Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS statutory framework.
• Safeguarding: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring the safety and well-being of all children is paramount.
• Committee Collaboration: Attend regular committee meetings, provide operational updates
• Parent & Community Partnership: Maintain excellent relationships with parents, carers, and external local authorities.
• Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all regulatory standards of Ofsted, health and safety laws, and safeguarding policies
