Job description

Leading IP CCTV manufacturer requires a Pre-Sales Technical Engineer to play a pivotal role in the creation and support of new opportunities and projects created internally or by integrators, distribution partners, or end users. By providing this important support mechanism, this also ensures that Hikvision's business performance and reputation are maintained to help create sustained business growth.

The key attributes and expectations of a good Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineer include:

  • IT network design skills, knowledge, and experience
  • IP CCTV system design skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Analogue CCTV system design skills, knowledge, and experience – desirable for existing systems and migration

Hikvision UK requires the Pre-Sales Technical Engineer to serve as a field-based technical ambassador of the company and brand, delivering the following key tasks:

  • Engage and support distribution partners, integrators, specifiers, and end users to maximize the design, specification, and utilization of Hikvision products and solutions.
  • Identify and support training and development needs within partners and customers through sales team requests and regular consultations.
  • Proactively scope technical solutions to address customer requirements, assess unmet needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both customers and Hikvision.
  • Provide coaching and professional development to team members to enhance their product knowledge, technical skills, and sales capabilities.
  • Seek additional business development opportunities within partners and customers to increase the use of Hikvision products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal staff to ensure opportunities are understood, supported, and executed effectively.
  • Monitor customer support for technical solutions during the sales process and alert sales and account teams to potential risks impacting deal closure.
  • Assist in designing and expanding training programs based on organizational and individual needs.
  • Deliver and support product demonstrations, training sessions, exhibitions, or roadshows related to Hikvision products and solutions.
