Job Summary

The pre-sales engineer will support the sales teams and the reseller channel by providing product advice and training, advice on licensing and technical queries, and engaging with end-users of larger organizations to facilitate product sales. They are expected to be product experts with strong knowledge in IT systems and the threat landscape. Their role encompasses more than technical support and influences sales into larger enterprise customers.

Functional Responsibilities and Duties (English - Mandatory):
  1. Support the sales team in handling technical enquiries from larger end-user customers.
  2. Discuss technical aspects of the products with end-users.
  3. Train resellers and ESET staff on products and their applications.
  4. Serve as a central knowledge source for sales and marketing teams on all aspects of the product, licensing, and integration within broader IT systems.
  5. Act as an ESET evangelist at end-user meetings and events.
  6. Stay updated on industry knowledge and news on a technical basis.
  7. Assist in developing onsite or remote PoCs, demos, and customer engagement.
  8. Participate in sales strategy planning, customer design, technical evaluations, and sales calls.
  9. Provide technical sales advice to internal and external sales teams.
  10. Conduct product training sessions for ESET staff.
  11. Conduct technical training sessions for resellers and their staff (travel required).
  12. Perform web demonstrations to key customers and resellers.
  13. Conduct onsite demonstrations to prospective customers and resellers (travel required).
  14. Attend exhibitions and conferences to provide technical product advice (travel required).
  15. Prepare and deliver monthly product webinars to resellers and end-users.
  16. Manage KPIs and personal goals.
Experience:
  • Providing technical support to end-users and resellers.
  • Experience with security software and their application within IT environments.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructures using various OS.
  • Experience delivering training and presentations on IT products.
  • Project management experience.
Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of the security software industry and competitors.
  • Complete knowledge of ESET products.
  • Good knowledge of Linux OS.
Language:

English C2 - Proficient

Personal Characteristics:
  • Confident presentation skills to senior IT security professionals (CISO level).
  • Ability to relate security issues to business concerns and match them to product solutions.
  • Enterprise network knowledge.
  • Understanding of encryption technologies.
  • Knowledge of server infrastructure and domain configuration.
  • Extensive knowledge of current Windows server and desktop OS.
