Qualifications

Job description

As a Pre Sales Solutions Engineer, you'll lead technical discussions with key prospects & customers, ensuring there are no barriers to using Vanta to meet their security goals.

You'll be an integral part of the Sales team, working pre-sales to ensure technical fit and create innovative solutions for our customers. Your attention to detail, focused on customer needs, will drive rapid onboarding and adoption, ultimately improving retention and success, while helping gather customer references, case studies, and product feedback.

This role is based in our London office with a hybrid schedule, primarily in-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

What you'll do as a Solutions Engineer at Vanta:
  • Own the technical relationship with our customers
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product capabilities, integrations, configurations, messaging, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape
  • Listen carefully to prospects and clients to provide market feedback to the product team and help prioritize functionality needed to drive sales opportunities
  • Support customers through their trial process with Vanta
  • Build product examples, documentation, and other critical resources for our customers
  • Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and help drive new programs to improve the transition from pre- to post-sales
How to be successful in this role:
  • Work in our London office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
  • Have 2+ years of customer-facing, technical experience as a solutions engineer, sales engineer, or similar role
  • Previous B2B SaaS experience
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure & Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and cloud architecture
  • Strong project management skills, capable of operating in a startup environment
  • Creative, technical, and persuasive
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Enjoy listening to customers, discussing strategies, and diving into details
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Bash, JavaScript) and a desire to expand skills
  • Familiarity with REST API development and integrations is a plus
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity is preferred
