The Pre-Sales Engineer plays a critical role in the sales process by providing technical expertise and support to potential customers. This position involves conducting product demonstrations, addressing customer inquiries, and creating technical documentation to facilitate the sales process. The Pre-Sales Engineer collaborates closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging and informative product demonstrations to potential customers, showcasing the features and benefits of the company's solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and develop tailored solutions that meet their needs.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to customers, highlighting how the company's products can solve their specific challenges.
- Respond to technical inquiries from customers and provide expert guidance on product capabilities and integrations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, installation manuals, and FAQs, to support customer understanding and usage of products.
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to stay updated on product features, enhancements, and industry trends.
- Assist in the development of sales tools and resources to support the sales team in their efforts.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other events to represent the company and its products.
Basic Requirements
- Willingness to travel worldwide up to 50% of the time for customer meetings, demonstrations, and industry events as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in a pre-sales engineering role or a similar technical support position.
- Experience in conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Strong understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as the competitive landscape.
- Proficiency in relevant technologies like thermal imaging, software, and tools related to the surveillance industry.
- Strong skills in networking.
- Familiarity with cloud computing and software development concepts. JCL basic understanding.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a specific industry relevant to the company’s products (e.g., telecommunications, software development, cybersecurity).
- Knowledge of thermal imaging, border surveillance, and Critical Infrastructure Protection; as well as sales processes and methodologies.
- Certifications related to the industry or specific technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Associate).
