Join a leading NHS Foundation Trust as a Pharmacy Technician in a 2-year rotational training post. You will work within various operational areas of the Pharmacy Department, gaining essential skills and knowledge to become a registered Pharmacy Technician. This role offers development opportunities and support throughout your training.
Based at either Queens Hospital Burton (QHB) or Royal Derby Hospital (RDH).
This is a 2-year Fixed term, rotational training post working within each operational area of the Pharmacy Department, which may include Dispensing Services, Aseptic Services, Chemotherapy Services, Logistic Services, and Medicines Management Services at ward level, depending on the site. Current NHS employees applying for this role will, under new Annex 30 guidelines, remain on their current pay scale.
Entry Requirements
The post holder will work as part of the pharmacy team to provide an effective patient-focused pharmacy service across the specified areas, working towards a Level 3/4 qualification delivered by an accredited provider. They will undertake supervised training in pharmacy principles and practices over two years, gaining the knowledge, skills, and experience to become a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
