Job summary

Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor is seeking a Pharmacy technician who is accurate, methodical and caring to join our dynamic Pharmacy team on a rotational training programme. The role offers exposure to hospital dispensing for in-patients and out-patients, purchasing and ward-based work, with rotations across community hospital sites and GP surgeries.

You will have opportunities to participate in audits, project weeks, and cross-site training as part of the programme.

The role of the Pharmacy technician is varied and interesting and continuously developing new roles, which is why we are offering this opportunity to explore this innovative role in a rotational training programme. You will gain experience in a Hospital setting dispensing for In-patients and Out-patients, Purchasing and Distribution and ward based work as well. You will have the opportunity to rotate between community hospital sites and GP surgeries as part of the cross sector training.

You will have opportunities to participate at a project week at a different site or in primary care as well as undertake audits and presentations as part of your training.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Salary: Initially Annex 21 Band 4 - 70% top of band 4, progressing to 75% top of band 4 after 12 months.
