Overview

We have a full time vacancy for a Band 6 Pre Registration Facilitator to join the team with Pennine Care NHS Trust. We are a Mental Health and Learning Disability Trust and support students from a range of professions. The majority of students are Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing and are supported within practice placements throughout the Trust. The main focus of the role would be to support Nursing students so we would welcome anyone with experience of Nursing either in Mental Health or Learning Disability who has a current NMC registration. We ensure quality and work in partnership with Universities. We support staff with Supervisor and Assessor training and experience of supervising and assessing students as well as facilitating staff training would be essential to the role.

Responsibilities
  • Quality Audits and promoting the safe learning environment charter to ensure all students are fully supported, welcomed and valued.
  • Monitoring student evaluations and responding to concerns raised whilst in practice.
  • Recognising and celebrating good practice.
  • Training registered staff to support students with supervision and assessment.
  • Working collaboratively with other Mental Health and Learning Disability Trusts and services.
  • Working in partnership with Universities including supporting events and recruitment.
  • Reporting and responding to incidents in practice.
  • Attending internal and external meetings including support for specific projects across Greater Manchester.
  • Development of new practice learning opportunities and increasing student capacity.
  • Developing and supporting Practice Education Leads in each practice placement area.
  • Capacity escalation process when areas are unable to support students allocated.
  • Long arm assessing of students when required.
  • Development of resources for staff and students.
  • Regular visits to practice placement areas across the Trust footprint.
  • Engagement with student forums.
  • Duty cover to monitor the generic team inbox.
  • Support for Nurse Associates who are completing the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship.
